Click for more info below ↓In this tutorial, I’ll go through the process on how I made this cork chalkboard weekly planner. I thought it would be cool to pin things into a chalkboard like you can with cork, so this is a fun hybrid of both!

Supplies:
• Cork (3 panels, 12×12″, thick enough to pin through)
• Wall mounting adhesive
• Acrylic paint
• Paint brush
• Chalkboard paint
• Painter’s tape
• Scrap paper
• Vinyl letters
• Ruler
• Glue, acrylic or latex paint (optional)
• Towel
• Chalk
• Push pins

❋ Substitutes ❋
Here are some other variations you could try:

• Chalkboard Vinyl/Paper – Substitute chalkboard paint with chalkboard adhesive vinyl or contact paper. You might have to add glue to the back prevent it from peeling off the cork. Or wrap it over a piece of board at the size you need for a smoother texture to write on. However, you might not be able to pin through it as easily…

• Magnet Board – Substitute the cork for a magnet board to have a chalk/magnet combo.

• Photo Frame – If you have the perfect size photo frame, just paint over the glass with chalkboard paint to turn it into a chalkboard. Or leave the glass blank and use dry erase marker on it.
